Record Changer Jazz Band Contest - 1950
The Empire State Jazz Band won The Record Changer second annual Jazz Band Contest. Above are the two sides they recorded for the Record Changer label. Their prize was to get this first professional recording. An entry rule was that no bands have recorded professionally before, so only amateur bands.
